How does variant assignment work?

Wink uses deterministic hashing based on a visitor identifier and experiment handle. The same visitor always sees the same variant, even across sessions. No cookies or client-side JavaScript required for assignment.

Does Wink work with Craft 5?

Yes, Wink is built for Craft CMS 5 and takes full advantage of its element system and control panel architecture.

Does Wink affect page performance?

No flicker or layout shift either way. Server-side delivery resolves the variant before the page renders; cache-safe delivery (for Blitz and CDNs) hides every variant until a tiny inline script reveals the visitor's, as the page parses. The tracking script is lightweight and batches its events.

Can I integrate with Google Analytics?

Yes. Wink supports optional GA4 and Google Tag Manager forwarding. Experiment and variant data can be sent as custom dimensions and events to your existing analytics setup.

How do I know when a test is significant?

Wink runs a two-proportion z-test with Wilson score confidence intervals automatically. The reports dashboard shows confidence levels and tells you when a winner can be declared.

Is Wink privacy-compliant?

Wink respects Do Not Track headers, supports IP anonymization, and provides configurable data retention policies. All analytics forwarding is optional and under your control.
